The introduction experiments were carried out on 21 species of annual and 8 species of perennial forage from 1997 to 1998 in the experimental bases of both Hohhot city and Dalate County, Yimen, Inner Mongolia Region, which belongs to the Hydraulic Research Institule of Pastoral Areas, Hydraulic Ministry of China. The germinating percentage of seeds was determined in the laboratory and the growth performance of forage was observed in the field. Two good varieties of Sorghum, one variety of Alfalfa with better growth performance and high yield were selected and extended in this region.
