十八大提出要"推动高等教育内涵式发展",这是党中央根据新时期新形势对高等教育提出的新目标、新任务和新要求。内涵式发展本身具有非常丰富和深刻的内涵,它不仅是科学的高等教育发展观,也是科学的高等教育本质观和价值观。内涵式发展是新时期中国高等教育本质论的回归、价值论的重建和方法论的提升。只有站在这样的角度与高度,我们才有可能正确理解和深刻把握高等教育内涵式发展的精髓,也才有可能真正发挥理论指导实践的功用。

Promoting the connotation development of higher education is the new aim, new task and requirement in the new era proposed on 18th CPC National Congress. Connotation development is a concept which includes a lot, not only about higher education development, but also the idea of essence and value-outlook of higher education. It＇s the return of the Chinese higher education essence, reconstruction of the theory of value and promotion of methodology in the new period. From this point on, could we have a correct understanding and grasp the essence of the connotation development of higher education deeply, and really play the role in guiding the practice.
