循证警务是循证理念与警务活动相结合的产物,要求警务政策的制定、执行、评价都要以当前可获得的最佳证据为基础。循证警务能够提升警务政策制定的科学性、密切警学联系、完善警务活动的公众参与机制,对我国的警务实践有启示作用。

Evidence-based policing, a product of the combination of evidence-based philosophy and policing activities, requires that the making, enforcing and evaluating of policing policies should be based on the best evidence obtainable rule. Evidence-based policing can help upgrade the scientificness of the making of policing policies, make closer the relationships between policing activities and practical research and improve the mechanism for the public to participate in policing activities. Evidence-based policing gives enlightenment to policing practices in China.
