Zhou Fucheng and Tang Junyi: Perfect Personality and Perfect Humanism

周辅成和唐君毅这两个川籍思想家不仅"相识以文",且"相知以心",有着共同的哲学倾向和理想追求,终其一生都关注着人的本性和人类文明的发展,追寻着如何成就一个健全的人和如何建立一个健全的人文社会。他们虽然有着不同的人生历程,可是在学术和精神上却十分"契合",都为了使中华民族文化之生命能够趋向无限丰富和永恒发展而努力不止,力争在人的解放或心灵的自由中实现"天德流行"的人文理想。

Zhou Fucheng and Tang Junyi who both were from Sichuan Province knew by articles and understood by mind each other. Both of them had common inchnation philosophicaUy and pursuit ideally, and paid close attentions to human nature and the development of human civilization in all their lives, though they had different life experi- ences. The questions how to become a perfect one and how to built a perfect society were their same aims. Their mutu- al understandings in academy and spirituality impelled them to maintain Chinese traditional culture richer and healthi- er, and tried to realize an ideal humanistic world with human beings＇ libration and freedom.
