随着国产电影质量的不断提高和国际合作的不断扩大,近几年不少国产大片剑指国际,乘风破浪地冲出亚洲,走向世界。2011年由张艺谋导演执导的战争史诗大片《金陵十三钗》作为一部自筹备之初就瞄准国际的电影,在影片名称的英译上充分考虑了中西方文化差异、影片内容以及主题的表达。通过对《金陵十三钗》电影译名的分析,能够为国产电影片名的英译以及国产电影走向世界提供借鉴与参考。

In recent years,as continuous improvement of the quality of Chinese movies and the expansion of the international co- operation, many domestic blockbusters aim for the international market, buffeting their ways through the waves to rush out of Asia and step into the international arena. In 2011, the war epic The Flowers of War, directed by Zhang Yimou, is a movie that was geared to go to the world arena. The translators of this movie titles pay much attention to the differences between Chinese and West- ern cultures, the contents and the theme of the movie. The excellent English translation of a movie title could exercise function prin- ciples well, meanwhile, it would attract the attention of the Western audiences and stimulate their association. Through analyzing the English version of the movie The Flowers of War, we can provide reference for Chinese - English translation of movie title and the internalization of Chinese movies.
