Wang Yi, literary journal of the Baoding Press in the period of Republic of China, was published for high school students primarily and had distinctive characters. In this paper, we will discuss its purpose of founding the journal and the reader positioning, come to understand the history of the journal, describe the main content and analyze the characteristics of its contents by combing the Wang Yi existing text. By reading documents, we can glimpse the background and the patriotic spirit of the indomitable in that period from those journals. And also we should learn the kind of real, strong feelings of editor and the community to transfer knowledge to the next generation and help them to shape healthy personality. Wang Yi was dedicated to service for secondary school students, solve vital issues related to living and learning with them, and provide them with a wealth of literary elements. Meanwhile, Wang Yi published a large number of articles which were full of national consciousness and description of the social vulnerability, they hoped that their articles could wake up the national children. and inspire
