Philip Roth＇s novel The Human Stain is one of ＂The American Trilogy＂, showing a different social life picture of different classes in contemporary America. At present, the academic circles mostly study it from the perspectives of ethics and morality; however, in dimension of the new realism, the tragedy of the protagonist Coleman Silk highlights the real life situation of the ethnic minorities in contemporary American society.
