在现代汉语中,谓词性并列短语的否定表达常采用NegANegB("AB"表示由并列项A、B组成的谓词性并列短语)模式。当Neg重读或添加其他成分,或者当"AB"接近典型的自然并列短语时,才能采用NegAB模式,从而保证Neg能够对谓词性并列短语AB进行整体否定。

＂AB＂ refers to the predicative coordinate phrase composed of coordinate items A and B. In Mod- em Chinese, the negative expression of ＂AB＂ often takes the form of ＂Neg A Neg B＂. The form ＂Neg AB＂ is employed only if ＂Neg＂ is stressed or has other elements adjacent to it, or when ＂AB＂ is similar to typical natural conjunctions, which are the sole ways to guarantee that ＂Neg＂ negates the predicative coordinate phrase ＂AB＂ as a whole.
