"cfing" in Vietnamese could be translated into "ye" or "dou" in Chinese, while Vietnamese as their mother tongue also has some negative influence on their learning of the Chinese adverb "ye". Though "cfing" in Vietnamese and "ye" in Chinese are similar in usage, they belong to different language systems with somewhat different functions and usages. This paper gives a comparison between "cfing" in Vietnamese and "ye" in Chinese from the syntactical, semantic and pragmatic perspectives with the hope of offering some enlightenment to these Vietnamese students. Vietnamese "cfing" is used to be translated into Chinese as "ye", "dou", Chinese adverb "ye" is one of the language learning difficulties for Vietnamese students, in addition to its own grammatical features, there is a more complex relationship of Vietnam the phrase" cfing" and Chinese adverb "ye". This article will compare the two, hoping for offering more help for teaching Chi- nese as a second language to Vietnamese students.
