在经济全球化的时代背景下,高职院校沿袭本科院校的公共英语教学模式面临着巨大的挑战。高职院校应及时转变观念、与时俱进,在开设公共英语的基础上,增设行业英语,以适应市场对高职院校英语教学提出的更高要求,从而实现高职公共英语教学为学生未来职业发展服务的目的。

Under the circumstance of economic globalization, the mode of public English teaching in higher voca- tional colleges which follows that of universities faces huge challenges. Higher vocational colleges should change the concept, keep pace with the times and establish professional meet the higher requirements of the market and thus achieve English course in public English teaching in order to the goal of serving the future professional developmentof the higher vocational graduates.
