通识教育视角下的大学英语课程设计

College English Curriculum Design from the Perspective of General Education

在经济全球化飞速发展和我国改革开放不断深入的时代背景下,大学英语的培养目标不再仅仅是提高学生的语言能力,社会所迫切需要的是大批既精通外语,又具有广博的知识和较强的跨文化交际能力的人才。基于通识教育的培养目标,进行大学英语教学改革顺应了时代发展的需求。大学英语课程设计改革是大学英语教学改革的重要组成部分,鉴于现有大学英语课程设计存在着一定的缺陷,从通识教育的视角出发,结合一定的理论依据与实践经验,探究新的课程设计模式,将有助于学生在学习语言的同时,提高自身的通识素养。

With the rapid development of economic globalization and the deepening of China＇s reform and opening up policy, the goal of college English teaching is not only to improve the language ability of students. The society is in urgent need of talents who are not only proficient in foreign languages, but also have extensive knowledge and strong intercultural communication competence. College English reform based on general education complies with the development of society. The reform of curriculum design is an important component of the teaching and learning reform. There exist some flaws of the college English curriculum design, so it will benefit students＇ language learning and improve their general education quality by combining theory with practice to explore a new pattern of curriculum design from the perspective of general education.
