Excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy is not the regular procedure for young children. However, it can be selectively done in some special cases, such as myopic or/and hyperopic anisometropia, Anisometropic amblyopia, refractive accommodative esotropia. There were risks and limitations for refractive surgery in the pediatric population.
