Historical Transition of Wenzhou Harbor Trade

温州港已有一千多年历史。早在春秋战国时期,温州就出现了原始港口的雏形;唐代以来与日本有贸易往来;南宋—元时期设立市舶司,海上贸易兴起;明清时期受"海禁"政策影响,温州港闭关,直至1876年签订《烟台条约》,温州港再次被迫开放;抗日战争时期温州港曾出现过畸形繁荣。新中国成立以后尤其是改革开放以来,一系列事件给温州港带来了新的历史发展机遇,温州港逐渐发展成为一个现代化港口。

Wenzhou harbor has a history of more than one thousand years. As early as the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period, a primitive harbor has taken shape in Wenzhou, and it has kept the trade with Japan since Tang Dynasty. In Yiyuan Period of Southern Song Dynasty, the foreign trade was established with the maritime trade emerging at that time. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, affected by the policy of ＂sea prohibition＂, Wenzhou harbor was closed. With the signature of ＂Treaty of Yantai＂ in 1876, Wenzhou harbor was forced to open again. During the period of Anti-Japanese War, it had a malformation boom. Since the foundation of new China, especially since the reform and opening up, Wenzhou harbor has gained new historical opportunities for further development due to a series of events and it has ~raduallv developed into a modern harbor.
