数字图书馆是一个开放式的硬件和软件的集成平台，不再是传统意义上的图书馆。基于内容的多媒体数据查询和检索技术是数字图书馆中至关重要的一项技术。目前，基于内容的检索研究已经取得了很多成果，然而还有许多问题需要去探索。
Digital Libraries is an open and integrated surface that based on the hardware and software. Digital Libraries is a new concept whic h different from the Conditional Libraries. Now, the content-based query and re trieval technology of multimedia data is becoming the key technology of Digital Libraries. We have taken in content-based retrieval, but there are a lot of pr ojects to be studied.
