附睾蛋白酶抑制剂基因及蛋白的研究进展

摘要 附睾蛋白酶抑制剂(epididymis protease inhibitor;Eppin/SPINLW1)基因在附睾和睾丸组织中特异性表达,存在于人类精液和精子表面,是一种编码含丰富胱氨酸残基的蛋白质的单拷贝基因。国内外研究表明Eppin在灵长类动物的生育中可能发挥重要的作用,与生殖和免疫性避孕关系密切。现对Eppin基因及蛋白的发现、特征及其在男性生殖等方面的作用做一综述。 The epididymal protease inhibitor ( Eppin/SPINLW1 ) is a single copy gene coding a protein containing rich cys tine residues; the protein abounds in human semen and the surface of human spermatozoa, which is produced by the testis and ep ididymis. Domestic and international researches indicate that Eppin may play an important role in primate fertility, which is also closely related with reproduction and immunocontraception. This review attempts at a detailed description of Eppin gene and its protein, including their discovery, characteristics and functions in male fertility.
