Study on Assessment of Grammar in NMET(Shanghai Paper)

2013年9月,上海市教育考试院高考英语命题专家在2013高考英语命题评价会上,对未来高考语法试题的考试题型提出了一些改革的思路,正式宣布摒弃多年来一直采用的语法选择题,代之以全新的语法填空题。本文通过对比研究探讨语法填空题的效度。

Assessment of grammar and its washback effects have always been a primary concern in language testing research. The present article attempts to investigate the validity of a grammar completion test by means of an experimental study and a questionnaire survey. The results show that the grammar completion test seems to have discriminated students better than the grammar selection test, and that there is no significant difference among different groups of students in terms of their use of question answering strategy. The findings have implications for the revision of the grammar component of NMET （Shanghai Paper）.
