进入新世纪以来,在信息新技术和经济衰退的各种挑战下,城市公共图书馆正经历着服务和职能的转变,中国城市公共图书馆的未来使命是成为市民的知识中心、学习中心和文化中心。
Municipal library is progressing to transformation of its services and functions in the 21st century due to various challenges of new information technology and economic recession. The missions of municipal library in China in the future will be the centers of knowledge, learning and culture for citizens.
