An Analysis of the Middle Eastern Studies in China Under the Background of Upheaval in the Middle East

中国的中东研究在不断进步,对中东热点问题的回应也日益及时。自2010年底阿拉伯国家动荡以来,中国学者对中东地区的政治发展、美国动向和能源问题给予了特别关注。与西方期刊不同,中国期刊发表的以中东变局为主论题的文章相当有限,中国和西方在这一问题上存在一些差异。目前,中国的中东研究仍然存在很多问题,比如受关注程度低,研究方法单一和学术队伍专业知识结构较为单一,而且缺乏必要的田野调查,这造成产生的成果创新性严重不足。为了提升对中国有很大利益的中东的研究质量,中国学者、媒介和官方均需做出进一步的努力。

China has made continuous progress in Middle Eastern studies, and its response to the hot issues in the Middle East are becoming more timely. Since tur- moil in the Middle East broke out at the end of 2010, Chinese scholars have paid special attention to the political developments in the Middle East. Unlike western journals, Chinese journals published limited articles on the Middle East turmoil. Currently, there are still several deficiencies in China＇s Middle Eastern studies, among which are low degree of concern, backward research method, monot- onous professional knowledge structure, and the lack of the necessary field investiga- tion.
