力、表达与新文学的倡导——兼论五四时期“全盘性反传统”

Power,Representation and the Advocating of Modern Chinese Literature: with a Study on Totalistic Anti- tradition in the May Fourth Era

五四知识者在"文学革命"的口号之下,倡导的是一场"表达的革命",而居其首者乃表达工具与表达方式的变革。他们在"新文学"的"内容"方面的话语建构,则是对表达的对象、表达者的位置以及表达与表达对象之关系的规范和描述。他们的基本的关怀均在于如何令"表达"更加有力。所谓的五四"全盘性反传统",事实上是"全盘性反表达"——反对包括"见容于社会"的表达,通过权力网络保存和传播的表达以及权力者的表达。而对弱者的表达、不为权力网络所保存和传播的表达、不被人注意的表达却做了整理和研究工作。

The paper maintains that the slogan of ＂Literature Revolution＂ in the May Fourth Era calls actually for a revolution of representation, and at the foremost of the revolution is the transformation of the means and manner of representation. The discursive construction in the content of ＂new literature＂ focuses on the discipline and description of the represented objects, the posi- tion of the representation and the relationship between representation and the represented objects, but the essential concern is on how to empower the representation. The totalistic anti - tradition in the May Fourth Era can then be understood as the totalistic anti -representation which opposes the representations acknowledged by the society, preserved and communicated by the power network, and effectuated by the powerful. The representations of the powerless, of those ignored by the power network, and of those neglected by the society are researched and preserved by the intellectuals.
