再论抗战时期的西北科学考察团

Restudying the Northwest Scientific Expedition during the Anti-Japanese War

文章依据新资料深入、多方面地论述了考察团的筹划、考察日程和主要收获,探讨了考察团成员对西北的认识和开发西北的看法,对于夏鼐的贡献予以更全面的分析。考察工作是有基础、有计划的,既受到了开发西北热潮的影响,也是我国学术研究的自然延续。考察工作的准备是比较充分的。考察过程中,尽管有很多困难,由于得到了各方面的协助,总体上还是顺利的。

On the basis of new materials, this paper introduces the preparation, schedule, and achievements of the Northwest Scientific Expedition and their understanding as well as developing the Northwest. It also provides a more comprehensive analysis of the contribution made by Xia Nai, the co-leader of the Expedition. The investigation was well-planned and prepared with a good foundation, and it was also a natural extension of academic research in China, though influenced by the upsurge of northwestern development. Despite the many difficulties, the expedition went smoothly on the whole, owing to the support from all sides.
