The rise of studies on epidemics and security issues is closely related to the transformation of international security environment after the Cold War and the increasing importance of global issues. A number of achievements in this field have enriched existing security studies, but the field itself is still not mature and major debates are unsettled. Epidemics are characterized by sudden changes and severe consequences and the concept of security is not static,so we need to take a dynamic and strategic perspective to study epidemics and security issues.
