Iatrogenic nerve injuries occur frequently and lead to severe consequence. The members of almost every clinical specialty are at risk to damage the peripheral nerves iatrogenically to some degree. Several of the more commonly encountered iatrogenic nerve lesions and their principle causes, the prevention and rehabilitation are reviewed in this article.
