A Study on Situation, Obstacles and Countermeasures of China Energy Cooperation with Saudi Arabia

随着中国经济的迅速发展,能源在经济发展中的作用日益显著,特别是自中国成为原油净进口国以来,保持稳定的石油来源就显得更为重要。沙特阿拉伯的石油储量丰富,石油的产量和出口量在世界石油市场上占有重要地位。正确认识评估目前两国能源合作现状与障碍,科学制定未来促进中沙能源合作政策,保障中国石油安全,实现双方需求和市场的结合,对实现双方能源战略共赢具有重要意义,同时对中国对外能源开发战略制定具有一定指导和示范意义。

Energy plays a growing role with Chinese rapid economic development, so it's more important for China to seek a stable source of oil. Saudi Arabia occupies a crucial position in the world oil market for its rich oil reserves, production and exports. It is essential to evaluate and understand the current status and barriers of energy cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia, for the future policies can be formulated scientifically which to promote Sino-Arab energy cooperation. Our study suggest that it's of great significance to promote the Sino-Arab energy cooperation comprehensively, for protecting China's oil security, meeting both market demand, and achieving a mutual win-win strategy in energy cooperation. Furthermore, it will be helpful to China's foreign energy development strategy formulation in the future.
