A Comparison between Locke's and Pestalozzi's Thoughts of Family Education and the Enlightenment

洛克和裴斯泰洛齐是西方教育史上的两位巨擘,两人都有着丰富的教育实践活动,对家庭教育也有深刻的论述。本文通过比较洛克与裴斯泰洛齐的家庭教育思想,发现两人都重视家庭教育不可替代的作用,培养的儿童应是身心和谐的人,启示当下的家庭教育应培养完整、和谐的人,学校和家庭要共建良好教育生态。

Locke and Pestalozzi are two giants in Western educa- tion history. Both of them had rich experience of education prac- tice and profound elaborations on family education. Through a comparison between their thoughts of family education, it is found that both of them attach importance to the irreplaceable role of family education and the cultivation of physically and mentally harmonious children, which indicates that the current family ed- ucation should cultivate sane and hal^nonious people, and schools and families should work together to construct a favorable education ecology.
