API指数法和综合污染指数法均是反映和评价城市环境空气质量状况的方法 ,它们既有联系 ,又有区别。通过 2种评价方法在对城市空气质量状况进行评价时 ,所反映出的 2种不同的评价结果的论述 (太原市为例 ) ,从而指出 2种方法的局限性和需要进一步改进和完善的地方 ,使这 2种方法在实际应用中更好地发挥作用。

API index and comprehensive pollution index are methods to report and assess city's air quality .There are both relation and difference between the two methods. Based on the two assessment methods reported the different assessment results on city's air quality (taking Taiyuan as example),this paper points out the limitations and need further improvement aspects of the two methods so as to make them play role better in practical application.
