摘要
以独立学院学生为研究对象,分别采取窄式阅读教学模式(NR组)和阅读加词汇练习教学模式(RV组)展开对14个目标词汇的习得与保留的实验研究。研究结果表明,NR组和RV组在目标词汇的习得上都比较理想,但RV组的词汇保留效果略好于NR组。在实际教学中,阅读加词汇练习教学与窄式阅读教学可以进行有机的结合。
This study compared the effectiveness of narrow reading (NR) and reading plus vocabulary-enhancement activities (RV) on the acquisition and retention of 14 English words among EFL learners from independent colleges. The results showed that both the NR group and the RV group had acquired most of the target words on the acquisition tests, while the RV group demonstrated a little more knowledge about the target vocabulary than the NR group on the retention tests. In teaching practice, both reading plus vocabulary-enhancement exercises and the narrow reading approach should be adopted properly.
