The pastoral poem of Wang Wei is a unique and magnificent peak in the history of ancient Chinese poetry. This article aims at studying pastoral poem impression of Wang Wei from a new perspective of the Western literary symbolism, which vividly shows an indifferent and quiet, ethereal and delicate aesthetic style.
