摘要
导游词集中展现了特定民族丰富物质精神文明文化风采,在中西跨文化交际实践中发挥着积极作用。因其涉及特定历史时期和地域的民族思维审美习惯和语言文化传统,导游词的高效翻译实践充满挑战,值得深入探讨。基于功能主义翻译目的论,当下译界通常把导游词作为"呼唤型文本"进行翻译处理。而从跨文化交际学研究视角出发,霍尔的"高/低语境文化"文化分野模型则能提供更契合导游词本质属性的翻译理论依据和操作指导。文本信息量的调适、文本信息意象的类比转换等策略都能有助于调适文化语境,从而最终使得导游词英译事半功倍。
Tour commentary typically represents abundant spiritual and material civilization of certain nationalities and plays a vital role in international communication practice. Due to the complex social and cultural background and different national aesthetical appreciation habits and various language traditions, the translation on tour commentary is more than challenging. The present translation practice, based on theories of functional category of translation criticism, holds that tour commentary should be translated as vocative texts. However, intercultural communication offers translators more convincing methods from a more practical perspective. Hall's High/Low-Context theories especially lead to text information adaptation, text image analogy adaptation and other workable strategies that can solve various tour commentary translation tasks with sufficient efficiency.
