This paper analyzes an important notion of cohesion theory： lexical cohesion.Lexical cohesion falls into two major categories： reiteration and collocation.Reiteration consists of repetition,synonym,antonym and hyponymy.Then the paper illustrates the understanding and usage of each lexical cohesive device and points out its significance in reading,writing and translating.
