随着有线电视HFC网络建设和发展,网络中的设备种类和数量不断增加,给网络维护工作带来巨大压力,传统的网络运行维护模式和管理手段已不能适应HFC网络发展和维护的需要。构建有线电视网络设备管理系统(简称网管系统),是提高网络管理水平,保证网络传输质量和可靠性的重要手段。通过安装前端设备管理系统,可以在线监控与管理各机房的设备运行情况,完成网络设备或功能单元运行状态的监测和运行参数的调整。这样就可以保证在设备出现故障的时候,及时并且精确地定位故障,从而有效缩短故障排除时间,以增强设备的可维护性,同时也可以有效预测设备状态未来发展的趋势。
