摘要
无论在中国还是日本,村上春树的短篇小说《象的失踪》中的象都是研究者的首选对象。由于象是村上早期小说中频繁出现的动物,因此这一短篇中的象作为"象的系列"研究中的一环不可或缺。但当把《象的失踪》作为独立的个案来看待时便会发现,小说中的"我"其实更为关键。对"我"的解读将会进一步揭示小说背后隐藏的内涵。
When it comes to Murakami Haruki's short story The Elephant Vanishes,elephant is the pre- ferred object for scholars to discuss both in China and Japan.This animal frequently appeared in Murakami's short stories,thus elephant in this story is indispensable in the research of "elephant series".Nevertheless, when The Elephant Vanishes is treated as an individual case, "I" in the story actually plays a more pivotal role.Therefore, the analysis of "I" will further uncover the connotation behind the story.
