独立学院英语专业写作教学模式探索与实践

Research on the Teaching Mode of English Writing for English Majors in Community- financed Colleges

英语写作是高校英语专业学生必须掌握的五项基本语言技能之一,然而良好写作能力的获得必须建立在较高的语言综合素质和较强的思维能力的基础之上,因此写作水平是不容易提高的。徐克容教授曾指出,英语写作是目前多数学生最薄弱的一个基本功。本文通过简要分析两种主流英语写作教学法的利弊和总结独立学院英语专业学生在写作实践中的突出问题,试探性提出适合这个英语学习群体的写作教学新模式,并对学生进行了为期一年的教学实验。实验结果表明:这种写作教学新模式更能有效提高独立学院英语专业学生的写作水平。

English writing is one of the five basic language skills to be mastered by English major. For the reason that good writing ability is based on a high level of language proficiency and reasoning ability, it is not easy to improve writing in which Professor Xu Kerong once stated most students in university were weakest. This paper first sums up the pros and cons of two major English writing methods and sorts out the noticeable problems in the writing practice of the English majors from an independent college, and then brings forth a new English writing teaching mode based on which a teaching experiment lasting for one year was conduc- ted. The result indicates that the new writing teaching mode is more effective in improving the writing of English majors from in- dependent colleges.
