略论“减负”对中小学外语教师的素质要求

“Burden-Lightening” Setting Bigher Quality Demands on the Foreign Language Teachers in Middle and Primary Schools

切实减轻中小学生过重学业负担 ,全面推进素质教育。作为中小学外语教师而言 ,这不是减轻了教师的负担 ,也不是降低了对教师的要求 ,而是对外语教师的基本素质提出了更高的要求。笔者认为 ,一个理想的中小学外语教师除了应具备较强的听说读写译演唱画的基本要求外 ,还应具备强烈的使命感和责任感 ,勤于学习 ,不断完善自我 ,不断提高自己的业务能力。同时 ,还应具备良好的心理修养和师德修养 ,只有这样才能使自己成为一名优秀教师。

Earnestly lightening the over burdened homework for the primary and middle school boys and girls is essential to improving overall quality education. However, this doesn't mean to reduce the teachers' work load or to lower their professional requirements. On the contrary, it sets higher demands on the teachers' basic proficiency.The writer of this paper holds that an ideal foreign language teacher in a primary or middle school should not only be good at the basic skills such as listening,speaking,reading,writing,translating,acting,singing and drawing,but also have a strong sense of mission and that of responsibility,so that he will study hard, constantly refining himself and improving his professional ability. Besides, he ought to be accomplished in mentality and morality.Only by possessing all the requirements mentioned above, can he become an excellent teacher.
