摘要
传统的VOD系统使用单服务器结构 ,在扩展性和容错性等方面受到一定限制 ,因此提出了分布式并行视频服务器 (DPVS)结构。这种结构的关键是将视频数据按带状分布在多个服务器上 ,从而实现服务能力扩展和服务器级容错。本文对设计DPVS的一些关键技术进行讨论 ,包括服务器分带策略 ,视频分布结构 ,传输协议 。
One common architecture shared by traditional VOD system is a single server model However, the single server approach has limitations of augmentability and fault tolerance So the distributed parallel video server architecture is brought forward The base of DPVS is video data striping on servers It can extend the capacity and fault tolerance of servers In this paper, we will discuss the key technology of DPVS which contains server striping policies, vido distribution architectures, delivery protocols, and the distributed parallel video server architecture model
