潮语合唱是扎根于"潮汕元素"并既继承发扬了潮汕音乐文化的崭新艺术形式。潮语合唱这一新兴的潮汕音乐门类,无论从它的创作土壤、创作素材,到它的艺术特色、演唱风格等方面,都很好地传承了潮汕音乐文化的诸多特质;较好地运用了合唱创作手法,尤其是将传统与现代和声技法相融合,不仅为潮语合唱艺术自身的成长打下了基础,更为潮汕音乐的艺术化、国际化的发展方向拓宽了道路。因此,潮语合唱的兴起对于潮汕音乐的传承与发展有着重要的意义。

Chorus in Chaoshan dialect is a new artistic form which inherits and develops Chaoshan music culture.Its artistic features include it has genetic relationship with songs in Chaoshan dialect,it is the product of Chaoshan elements enriching and mixing with Chaoshan songs,and it uses traditional technique of harmony,combining the chinese and the western.On the other hand,chorus in Chaoshan dialect is confronted with various problems.It needs change and development,in order to make Chaoshan music,a national non-material culture,prosper.
