The Research of Histogram Equalization Image Enhancement Application Based on the Cumulative Distribution Function Transformation Method

直方图均衡化是图像增强预处理中的一个重要手段,它能有效改善图像显示清晰度或细节、纹理的显示状态。本文主要讨论了一种基于累积分布函数变换法的直方图均衡化处理技术,并给出了数学原理,同时利用MATLAB编程实现,并与利用系统函数均衡化后图像加以对比分析。

Histogram equalization is an important means of image enhancement preprocessing. It can improve the image display definition or detail, texture display state effectively. A technique of histogram equalization processing based on a transformation method of the cumulative distribution function was discussed, and the mathematical principles were given while taking advantage of MATLAB programming. At the last part of this paper, it compared the image effects between histogram equalization and equalization system function and analyzed the advantages of histogram equalization.
