In this paper, thermal analysis was introduced and summarized, including the most common dif-ferential scanning calorimetry （DSC） and thermo gravimetric analyzer（TGA） in polymer analysis and related fields, The application of DSC in melting point, specific heat capacity and the glass transition temperature were emphat-ically analyzed, as well as TGA in the weight loss analysis and the determination of the catalyst comoonent.
