由于立法不到位、缺乏统一管理及科学合理的管理制度,使得我国图书馆员继续教育不系统、不规范,影响了图书馆专业人员继续学习的效果。因此,从国外图书馆员继续教育实践入手来探讨我国新时期图书馆员继续教育应注意的问题,就具有很重要的现实意义。

Librarians＇ continuous education is not systematic and standardized, because the legislation is not in place, the lack of unified management and scientific and rational management system. It affects the learning effect of the pro fessional library staffs, the problem of librarians＇ continuous education of our country in the new period should pay atten tion to continuing education of librarians from abroad, it possesses very important practical significance.
