Canine skin diseases were the clinical common diseases, which were a general term for a large class of diseases with similar clinical symptoms, thus the diagnostic difficulties. Difficulties in diagnosis of this diseases were to differentiate the cause and damage of skin types. In the paper, the aspects were discussed in traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, expected to offer reference to the diagnosis of the diseases.
