The right to privacy entails the confidentiality of hospital personnel files while the right to know necessitates appropriate opening of the files.To protect privacy and to guarantee the access to information constitutes a contradictory entity.This paper analyzes the connotation of the right to privacy and the right to know in terms of hospital personnel files,as well as their relationship,in order to explore the ways to balance when they collide with each other.
