The control effects on cotton bollworm (Heliothis armigeral) of several new insecticides were investigated . The results showed that Huanong 1 (cypermethrin) was the best one to control the third generation of cotton bollworm, the efficacy duration of 50% Jiaxinruyou (parathion + phoxim) and 40% Jiafuling (esfenvalerate) was comparatively shorter, while 25% Mianlinqin (profenofos) had the weakest effects on the insect.
