铁杉是一种优良的针叶材。它纹理细致，材色漂亮。但是，经常由于干燥或保管不善而导致铁杉材面发生蓝变或红变。我们通过一系列的氧化－还原反应，来除去蓝变或红变。

Tsuga is a fine kind of softwood. It has closed-grain and beautiful colour. But it usually stains when it is stored or dried. By using a series of oxidation-reduction the blue and red stains on Tsuga were reduced.
