What Makes Ceramic Stamping Decoration so Varied in the Song Dynasty by Study of Ding and Jingdezhen Kilns

陶瓷印花装饰,在宋代成为大江南北各窑口较为普遍的装饰工艺,不同地区的印花装饰工艺,在具有宋代审美趋向共性的同时,又呈现出鲜明的差异性。以北方定窑与南方景德镇窑为代表,通过对两个处于不同地理位置窑口的陶瓷原料、审美文化以及消费对象等方面的比较,来探寻形成宋代陶瓷印花装饰丰富地域特色的成因。

Ceramic stamping decoration was a common technique at the kilns in the Song Dy nasty. Different areas had different techniques in stamping decoration, though sharing the common aesthetic orientation. Through a comparison of the raw materials from the locations of the two typi cal kilns--the Ding Kilns in the north and the Jingdezhen Kiln in the south of China, as well as their different aesthetic cultures and customers, this article explores what makes ceramic stamping deco- ration so varied in the Song Dynasty.
