开启“启蒙之蒙”——与王治河樊美筠对话第二次启蒙

Initiating an Enlightenment of the Enlightenment——a Dialogue with Wang Zhihe and Fan Meiyun on the Second Enlightenment

"启蒙"如今仍是当下中国社会政治界、思想界乃至文学艺术界一个显突而又沉重的话题,且充满意见分歧。旅美学者王治河樊美筠的新著《第二次启蒙》认为:西方那种以工业化、现代化为指归的正统启蒙理念已经危机四伏、陷阱重重,甚至已经开始走向反面;从社会实践看,正统的启蒙理念对地球的自然生态、人类的生存环境、人类情感与精神领域以及不同民族与国家之间的和谐共处,造成难以弥补的伤害。人们应当正视现实、接受教训,从根本上改变自己的世界观,启动一次针对此前启蒙理念的启蒙,在前进中建设一个新时代。本文作者在一个更为开阔的时代背景与学术视野中,对上述问题进行了剖析,并得出"后现代如何对待前现代,西方如何看待东方,事关地球人类今后的命运"的看法。

＂Enlightenment＂ is still a conspicuous, heavy and controversial topic in the current Chinese political, ideological, and even literary and artist circles. Wang Zhihe and Fan Meiyun, Chinese scholars so- journing in the US, argue in their new book entitled The Second Enlightenment that the Western orthodox ideas of enlightenment oriented to industrialization and modernization are facing numerous crises and traps and has gone the opposite way. Concerning social practice, the orthodox ideas of enlightenment has done ir- reparable damage to nature and ecology, human living environment and human emotions and spirit as well as harmony between different nations and countries. Therefore, people should face reality and draw lessons, changing their own outlook on the world and initiating an enlightenment of previous enlightening ideas, to build a new era. The author analyses the issues mentioned above in a broader historical background and a- cademic vision, drawing a conclusion that how post-modernity deals with pre-modernity and how the West does the East do relate to the future destiny of human beings on the earth.
