Myasthenia gravis is not only relevant to deficiency of the spleen, kidney, and liver, but also closely related to internal accumulation of dampness - toxicity. Based on tonifying deficiency and supplementing deficit, dampness -resolving and detoxicating therapy should be given throughout the whole treatment of myasthenia gravis. This paper expounds the formation of dampness - toxicity and its impact on patient＇s condition and summarizes the clinical features of myasthenia gravis. In addition to strengthening vital qi and supplementing deficit, drugs of tasteless flavor combined with aromatizing therapy, as well as promoting qi circulation to remove qi stagnation and warming and invigorating kidney yang, should be given in the treatment of myasthenia gravis.
