Strengthening and improvement of inorganic chemistry introduction course is discussed from three aspects the importance, content and teaching practices. Inorganic chemistry introduction is an important part of chemistry education. It gives freshmen a ＂great chemistry concept＂ and inspires students to love chemistry, and guides students how to study chemistry. Introduction is rich in content which covers chemistry research objects, purposes, the status quo and development. In the teaching process, importance should be placed on keeping pace with the times.
