滇越铁路是法国殖民者侵略中国掠夺云南资源的工具,面对侵略与掠夺,云南各族人民从来就没有停止过反抗与斗争。从被劫掠而本能地产生的"拒修洋路"斗争,到筹集资金"赎路自办"修建"个碧石"铁路(云南个旧——碧色寨(蒙自)——石屏)的自觉抗争,云南各民族人民为反抗殖民主义的掠夺和维护国家路权进行了艰苦卓绝的抗争,体现了云南民族觉醒与抗争的民族精神和爱国主义精神。

The Yunnan-Vietnam Railway is the tool that the French colonialists invaded China,and its purpose is to plunder resources in Yunnan.In face of aggression and plunder,people of all ethnic groups in Yunnan province had never stopped revolt and struggle.The instinctive struggle against loot includes ＂refusing to construct the railway,＂and raising funds for ＂redeeming right for self-running＂,so the＂Ge-Bi-Shi railway＂（Gejiu-Bise village（Mengzi）-Shiping in Yunnan） was built.It is extremely a hard and bitter struggle for the people of all ethnic groups in Yunnan province,to rebel against colonialist plunder and safeguard national right for the railway,and it embodies national spirit and patriotic spirit of the ethnic groups in Yunnan.
