Based on the application status of digital surveying and mapping technology in the resources and environment as well as urban and rural planning, combining with the new requirements of China＇s resources and environment to surveying and map- ping technology, fully explains the superiority of digital surveying and mapping technology, and finds the problems existed, hoping to promote the development of digital surveying and mapping technology better, in order to promote the process of China＇s re- sources and environment as well as urban and rural planning.
