摘要
艾因哈德所著《查理大帝传》是中世纪欧洲文学中一部著名的传记。该传记详实描写了查理大帝的一生,并高度概括了他的丰功伟绩;但由于加洛林文艺复兴时期的人文环境,传记作家陷于"视域遮蔽"的困境。其实,这部传记模仿古罗马时代人物传记的写作风格,遵循并反映了加洛林文艺复兴时期的风尚。人物塑造虽具有统一性和生动性,但缺乏复杂性和立体性。尽管如此,该书仍然不失为欧洲中世纪传记文学的典范之作。
o Einhard＇ s The Life of Charlemagne is a famous biography in medieval European literature, which elaborates the life story of the Roman Emperor Charlemagne and highly appreciated his great merit. However, due to the humanistic environment of the period of Carolingian Renaissance, the writer was trapped in a kind of ＂vision shroud＂. Actually this biography is imitating the style of biographies of ancient Roman period, conforming and reflecting the fashion of Carolingian Renaissance. The figures created in the biography are consistent and vivid, but lack of complexity and the sense of stereoscopy. Nevertheless, it can still be regarded as a model of European medieval biographical literature.
