Orhan Pamuk, the winner of 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature, is a renowned international Turkish author. Taking Orhan Pamuk's first and only one political novel--Snow which was published in 2002 as the research subject, this paper focuses on the following two factors in Snow: the book within a book, and the play within a play. Based on the investigation of above-mentioned two issues, we acknowledge that there is a widespread demand for pondering the cultural identity in Orhan Pamuk's novels which is both implicit and ubiquitous.
